COLUMBUS, Ohio – With natural-person CUs awash in liquidity, corporate CUs are seeing their assets balloon. Corporate One FCU is reporting that its assets topped $3.5 billion in late May, a record for the corporate. The corporate's assets jumped by an astounding 60% over the same period last year. The corporate said its new overnight investment offering, that is tied directly to the fed funds rate and can pay up to 15 basis points over the fed funds target rate, has helped it bring in more CU deposits. Many other corporates are reporting record assets this year.
