ONTARIO, Calif. – CO-OP Network, the largest electronic funds transfer network in the credit union industry, can now include Texas-based EDS Employees Federal Credit Union, First Community Credit Union and Indiana-based Ball State Federal Credit Union as the latest members of its network family. The Plano, Austin and Dallas credit unions are part of CO-OP’s southern states expansion strategy, while Ball State FCU becomes the first Indiana credit union to sign up with CO-OP. “The CO-OP Network expansion strategy for the next four years focuses on Texas, the Midwest and the Northeast, and our overall goal is to capture 65% or more of the credit union EFT volume in the country,” said CO-OP Network President/CEO Robert Rose. “The addition of credit unions like Ball State, EDS Employees and First Community are an important step as we seek to maximize the national surcharge-free ATM access.” CO-OP Network has an ATM/credit union presence in 44 states, provides service to 785 credit union clients and 9 million cardholders.
