This past week, employees at five credit unions began new positions. Plus, auto lending CUSO CU Direct promoted an executive.

The $1 billion Credit Union 1 in Anchorage, Alaska promoted James Wileman from COO to president/CEO. Wileman joined Credit Union 1 as manager of its Mountain View Branch in 2010. In 2012, he was promoted to oversee all CU1 branches. In 2014, Wileman joined the credit union's senior management team. In May 2015, his position expanded to vice president of member and administrative services and then to SVP of operations before being promoted to COO of the credit union in 2016.
