Credit unions on the east and west coasts were busy this week announcing new promotions and new hires.

EAST

The $503 million Harvard University Employees Credit Union in Cambridge, Mass. announced three executive promotions. Peter Buchanan (pictured) was promoted to senior vice president of real estate and business lending. He previously served as vice president of real estate. John Degnan was promoted to senior vice president of operations. He previously served as vice president of operations. Tom Murphy was promoted to senior vice president of student/alumni services and consumer lending. He previously served as vice president of consumer lending.

The $104 million Inspire Federal Credit Union in Bristol, Pa. announced six promotions. Tim Aitken was promoted to executive vice president. He most recently served as the credit union's vice president/CFO. Lou Hyjurick was named assistant vice president of information technology and facilities. Lauren Singleton was appointed assistant vice president of retail operations. Brian Phillips was promoted to assistant vice president of relationship development. Sheena Seratch and Sarah Mitchell were promoted to branch manager positions.

Sharon Gerald (pictured) was named vice president of operations for the $109 million Beach Municipal Federal Credit Union in Virginia Beach, Va. Before joining the credit union, she served as a member relations and payments manager at the $1.3 billion First Carolina Corporate Credit Union in Greensboro, N.C.

Nick Hart was appointed vice president of marketing for the $748 million Member One Federal Credit Union in Roanoke, Va. He previously served as copy director at First Union Bank, now Wells Fargo, in Charlotte, N.C.

Joshua Rakiey was promoted to assistant vice president of mortgage sales at the $1 billion Hanscom Federal Credit Union in Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass. He joined the credit union in 2009 and most recently served as its mortgage sales manager.

WEST

The $9.5 billion Golden 1 Credit Union in Sacramento, Calif. hired Jose Delgado (pictured) as senior vice president, chief retail officer and Ryan Kelly as vice president, audit services. Previously, Delgado held positions with Bank of America, Chase Bank, FiServ and, most recently, Bank of Oklahoma. Kelly most recently served as the director of risk assurance for consulting firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Laura Wood was promoted to vice president of human resources and organizational development at the $2.1 billion STCU in Spokane, Wash. She previously served as director of human resources, a position she held since 1998 when she joined the credit union.

Tom Beckett (pictured) joined the $1.5 billion Elevations Credit Union in Boulder, Colo. as a senior commercial lender. With more than 25 years of experience, he most recently worked at First Bank and Trust as the northern Colorado market manager.

Jaimy Herbert and Deborah Kratzer-Reid were named external mortgage loan officers by the $962 million Oregon State Credit Union in Corvallis, Ore. Herbert previously served as an internal loan officer for more than five years. Kratzer-Reid worked for First Interstate Bank in Laramie, Wyo. for 12 years prior to moving to Oregon in May 2015.

Employees Gina O'Callaghan and David Kanongataa of the $719 million Ventura County Credit Union in Ventura, Calif. were recognized by the San Diego-based CUSO Financial Services LP as top-producing financial advisors. O'Callaghan was the highest performing advisor in the Silver Pacesetter category and Kanongataa was recognized with a Bronze Pacesetter award.

TRADES

The New Jersey Credit Union League promoted Donna Pancoast from shared compliance specialist to shared compliance manager. She joined the league in 2009 and holds more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

VENDORS

PSCU, a St. Petersburg, Fla.-based CUSO, announced Phil Davis and Brian Scott joined its senior leadership team. Davis was named senior vice president of service delivery. Over the last seven years, he served in numerous leadership positions at Vantiv, a company that includes the former Fifth Third Processing Solutions and TNB Card Services. Scott was named the senior vice president of vendor alliance partnerships. He most recently served as vice president of sales for The Members Group.
