Avadian's new 3,000-square-foot branch marks the credit union's 17th location in Alabama.

More than 100 guests attended the grand opening of the $3.5 billion, Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based Kinecta Federal Credit Union's member service in downtown Hermosa Beach on Feb. 11. At its new location, Kinecta offers cutting-edge technology such as a state-of-the-art ATM with advanced self-service capabilities, located at a sculptural blue-lit “wave wall” that welcomes visitors to the bright, sleek interior. The branch also features personal financial consultants seated at desks rather than behind traditional teller stations. Added conveniences include onsite iPad stations for logging into online banking and free Wi-Fi.

The $159 million Innovations Federal Credit Union completed its move to a new branch in downtown Panama City. The branch offers enhanced conveniences for members such as drive-thru lanes, drive-up ATM, and additional parking. The grand opening celebration was held Feb. 24.

Local city officials, Kinecta executives and staffers, members and guests attended a ribbon cutting ceremony at Kinecta's new branch in Hermosa Beach.

The $1.9 billion Langley Federal Credit Union in Newport News, Va., will open its first Virginia Beach location on March 9. The branch features Langley's new signature design interior layout and includes a full-service ATM. With this new addition, Langley now operates three branches on the Southside and 18 branch locations throughout Hampton Roads.

The $63 billion Navy Federal Credit Union in Vienna, Va., celebrated its first branch opening of 2015 in Gaithersburg, Md., on Feb. 26. The new branch will serve approximately 14,200 members living in the region. The 5,487-square foot branch features an interactive kiosk, tablets and a Kid's Zone. Navy Federal plans to open 20 new branches this year, including seven more in the DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia area.

This relocated downtown Panama City, Fla., offers enhanced conveniences for Innovations FCU members such as drive-thru lanes, a drive-up ATM and additional parking.

The $1.6 billion Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union in Brooklyn, N.Y. said it will open a fourth branch in Schaumburg, Ill. The credit union began serving the Illinois market in 2010 and operates branches in Bridgeview, Mt. Prospect and Norridge. Chicago is home to the largest population of individuals of Polish descent second only to Warsaw, Poland, which was a major factor in the credit union's decision to expand into the Prairie State. Over the last five years, the credit union added 12,000 members in Illinois and increased its deposits by $117 million dollars.

The $1.8 billion United Federal Credit Union said it opened a new flagship branch in St. Joseph, Mich., on Feb. 16. The 9,600-square-foot building will feature expanded drive-thru capabilities as well as new technology for members. The UFCU's corporate office building, which previously housed the St. Joseph branch, will be renovated to add administrative space to accommodate the cooperative's expanding workforce. The grand opening celebration for the new branch is scheduled for March 25.

The $601 million Avadian Credit Union in Birmingham, Ala., opened a new 3,000-square-foot branch in Gardendale on Feb. 10. This new branch opening marks the 17th location for the cooperative in Alabama and the 11th branch in the Birmingham area. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for March 16.
