The $1.9 billion, 301,400-member GECU in El Paso, Texas, has gone live with its new website at mygecu.org.
The new site has a distinctly local flavor, using photos of local scenery, members and employees while improving navigation and accessibility for PC, mobile and tablet use, the Texas credit union said. The site also comes in two languages: English and Spanish.
The site has seen a more than 100% jump in non-branded SEO traffic and product views by 45% in the few weeks since it launched, the credit union said. GECU worked with San Francisco-based EXTRACTABLE to create the new digital presence.
“Together we are able to meet the needs of our community and members by offering a 24:7 branch where you can check your balance, make transfers, pay bills and even apply for loans,” said Crystal Long, president/CEO of GECU, the largest locally owned financial institution in that West Texas market.
“There's lots of helpful information like car buying tips, mortgage loan tips, and more. We are continuing to grow and we're happy to serve our community and members to meet their needs with our new website,” Long said.
