The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association is partnering with the Pennsylvania Cable Network and the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation to produce a television series of quarterly town hall meetings about financial literacy.
The town hall meetings will cover the fundamentals of financial management including banking, credit, investments and budgets as well as how to establish credit.
The panel, which will lead the discussion, includes Michael Kaczenski, chairman of PCUA and CEO of $464 million Sun East Federal Credit Union in Aston, Pa; Michael Wishnow, senior vice president of Communications and Marketing at PCUA; Matt Bergman, teacher at Milton Hershey School; Michael Hussey, associate professor at the Widener University School of Law and Keith Welks, deputy state treasurer for Fiscal Operations at the Pennsylvania Treasury Department.
The first in the series, “Financial Management 101,” will occur Oct. 29. PCN will tape the educational session and air it statewide at 9 p.m. This is the first of four quarterly town meetings on financial literacy.
Free and open to the public, the town hall will start at 1 p.m. at the Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg.
