The $128 million One Credit Union in Springfield, Vt., is converting to the Symitar Episys core processing system through the service bureau operated by Synergent Technology Services of Portland, Maine, the company said.

The 15,700-member credit union's multi-year contract also includes online banking and personal financial management from Jwaala, mobile from Access Softek and account opening and statement processing, said Synergent, a subsidiary of the Maine Credit Union League.

“Although Synergent provides check processing services to the majority of Vermont credit unions, this is our first Episys core processing agreement in the state,” said Synergent President/CEO John Murphy.

One CU currently is a Fiserv CUSA core processing client, according to the Technology Survey at Callahan & Associates.

Synergent said it now has more than 55 credit unions using its service bureau for core processing and nearly 200 credit union clients overall.
