Four more credit unions are now offering their members mobile banking through CU Service Network LLC of Lakewood, Colo., the CUSO said.
They are the $14 million Cornerstone CU of Des Moines, Iowa; the $157 million Fitzsimons CU of Lakewood, Colo.; the $297 million State Employees CU of Santa Fe, N.M.; and the $30 million Westminster FCU of Westminster, Colo., CUSN said.
The mobile banking service is from CO-OP Financial Services and integrates with Next Generation Network online banking platform already offered by CUSN, allowing the mobile service to be offered with minimal or no capital investment from the credit union, CUSN said.
"Feedback we have received from our Gen Y focus group is that they would not be able to keep up with their finances without mobile banking. They also said they expected their financial institution to offer the service, plus an app to be able to get into their account quickly," said Gary Key, CEO at Cornerstone CU.
CUSN said it now provides shared branching and other services to more than 100 credit unions in seven states.
